If you hear nothing else that I say, make it this.

I get it.

I get it because I have been there…I know exactly how you feel and what you are thinking.

But, here’s the thing…what you are telling yourself isn’t true.

If you ignore it, it won’t go away.

If you avoid it, it won’t go away.

It won’t become less important, and

it won’t stop making you frustrated, resentful or upset.

It won’t get better on its own,

It won’t fix itself, and despite trying to convince yourself, you won’t stop feeling the way that you do.

In fact, it will nag at you in a million different ways.

You may put on weight,

It may keep you up at night….or make it hard to concentrate.

You might even experience migraines or other health issues, and find yourself unable to feel satisfied in your own life.

So, what am I talking about?

The many things that aren’t really working for you, and yet the thought of dealing with them doesn’t appeal to you either.

Your mother that is critical of everything you do.

The friend who isn’t there for you and who demands more time than you can give.

The husband or partner that doesn’t touch you or talk to you.

The job that doesn’t cover your cost of living and asks more time than you have available.

The children that aren’t taking care of their end of the bargain, and doing what they are asked.

The client that isn’t paying their bill on time and doesn’t honor your guidelines.

The social life that you wish you had.

The health, fitness and nutrition plan that you know you need and really want.

They aren’t going to go away on their own..no matter how much you wish they would.

So, while you say you want to see change, the only way there is to buck up buttercup.

It’s time to take action.

There is no way around it, there is no way over it, there is no way under it; you are going to have to create a plan for facing it head on. And you can.

Yeppers, you can absolutely do this.

But…

It won’t necessarily be easy.

It is going to require that you define what you want and then do the work of making it happen.

There are no magic answers.

There is no one to do it for you.

And it isn’t going to feel good….at first; change is always uncomfortable.

But the work pays off, and the results come. I promise.

Only if you decide to actually do it.
